Abstract: With the development of transgenic technologies, genetically modified(GM)crops have been commercialized. Nowadays, the transgenic crops of single-trait are unable to meet the needs of agriculture, while the transgenic strategy of stacked-trait broadens the functions of GM crops and improves the utilization of resources, therefore meets the multiple needs of farmers, owns the broad application prospects, and is a new trend for the development of GM plants. Since transgenic technology may bring certain risks,it is critical to manage the safety of GM crops. For stacked-trait GM plants, different countries have declared different rules and safety assessment regulations to supervise the new-developed plants. In this paper, the safety assessment regulations to stacked-trait GM plants in different countries were reviewed, which may provide the reference for the supervision of the stacked-trait transgenic plants in China.
