Abstract: N-acyl-homoserine lactones(AHLs)play an important role in the biological communication, provide chemical bases for the intraspecific and interspecific interactions of gram-negative bacteria, and regulate varied bacterial physiological processes. Besides bacteria, plant may perceive and response to AHLs. This article summarizes researches of AHLs regulating plant resistances in recent years, which is conducive to explore mechanisms how AHLs influence host plants, and will provide theoretical basis for its application in agriculture.
