Abstract: GA20-oxidase,as a key synthetizing and regulating enzyme in the biosynthesis of gibberellic acid, directly regulates the generation of biological GAs. It is also a multifunctional enzyme, and its most important feature is negative feedback regulation. GA20-oxidase plays an important regulating role in the development and physiological processes of plants. This article summarizes the recent studies on the molecular cloning and regulating expression analysis of GA20-oxidase genes and their effects on plant height, fiber formation, flowering, yield traits, etc.,and explains the interactions of GA20-oxidase gene with hormones, photoperiod, stress resistance and other factors, aiming at revealing the signal network system and its mechanism of GA20-oxidase.
