Abstract: Cellulose is the most abundant biopolymer in the world, which is the major component of biomass energy sources. Family of cellulose synthase(CesA)gene is responsible for cellulose biosynthesis. Plant hormones, nitric oxide(NO), transcription factors, and some other none CESA proteins involved in cellulose biosynthesis. This paper summarized the latest progress of the cellulose biosynthesis regulation in higher plants.
