In April 29, 2019，National Science Library of Chinese Academy of Sciences released assessment results for the source journals of Chinese Science Citation Database (CSCD) during 2019-2020, and Biotechnology Bulletin was qualified to be in the core library of CSCD.
Source journals of CSCD are assessed in every two years. Each assessment adopts a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods. The quantitative data are from the CSCD, and the qualitative evaluation is conducted by domestic experts.
There are 1230 sources journals for CSCD during 2019 -2020, of which the publishing language of 229 journals is in English and that of the 1001 journals is in Chinese. Source journals of CSCD are divided into 2 parts: core and extension library, and the 908 journals are in the core library while 322 in the extension library.
With the help and support of editorial board members, experts, authors and readers, Biotechnology Bulletin has been growing and advancing. In 2019, the English version of Biotechnology Bulletin ( aBIOTECH ) has also been launched. Currently, it has cooperated with an international publishing group Springer Nature, and has opened the submitting system (https://www.springer.com/life+sciences/plant+sciences/journal/42994). Scientists in plant science and agricultural science are welcome to contribute actively.
