Abstract: microRNAs are non-coding small RNAs with 21-25 nucleotides that ubiquitously are expressed in the eukaryote, and usually inhibit the expressions of its target genes at the post-transcriptional level. In recent years,miR-143 has been reported as canonical and multifunctional microRNA,which is widely expressed in various species. This paper reviews the biological functions of miR-143 such as cell proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis and tumorigenesis, aiming at providing a reference for relevant research.
