Abstract: miR-143, discovered in recent years, is a non-coding RNA derived within a class, which plays an important role in many biological processes including cell differentiation, growth, proliferation, fat metabolism, disease and so on. miR-143 is closely related to the adipocyte differentiation and lipid metabolism, which could regulate the differentiation of adipocytes, synthetics of triglycerides primarily by the interaction with the target gene. The synthesis of miR-143, the interaction between miR-143 and the target genes to regulate adipocyte differentiation and lipid metabolism, in order to provide new ideas to the diagnosis and treatment for the obesity disease were reviewed.
